#WhiteHatWednesday: Champi & Jordan

Each #WhiteHatWednesday, we will highlight one of the awesome members of Team YYC. This week, read on to learn more about Champi and Jordan, IT Support Consultants, Long View Systems.
When it comes to assisting clients with their IT issues, Champi and Jordan both agree that great customer service is actually less about technology and more about building connections with people.
"I treat people how I want to be treated," says Champi, "and I gain perspective by putting myself into other people's shoes. I consider myself a customer service provider more than a consultant."
Jordan acknowledges that he learned pretty early on in his career that soft skills are more far-reaching than the hard ones.
"I realized that I wasn't going to get ahead with just the technical skills," says Jordan. "Talking to people and making sure they understand the information I am giving them is important."
Last month, Jordan got engaged to a Calgary Airport Authority employee he met over computer issues - so you never know what responding to an IT service request might entail!
Both men recognize that doing great work takes a great team.
"Long View has created a safe and great environment for us to succeed in," says Champi.
Outside of work, Jordan is a movie buff (with a talent for remembering film scores), and Champi is a sports fan, admitted space geek and dog lover.
