YAHOO! Stampede is coming to YYC

Stampede at YYC is about to get a whole lot bigger with barbecues, petting zoos, music on baggage carousels and hoedowns! Be sure to check out some of the ways we are surprising and delighting our passengers and promoting our city’s largest tourism driver. Click on the attached calendar to keep track of all the stompin’ activities across the airport from June 30 to July 14.

Photos with Rodeo Royalty

The Royal Trio + First Nations Princess will be joining us to welcome guests and take photos with guests at International Arrivals.

June 30, 2 to 4 p.m., International Arrivals

TEAM YYC Barbecue

Kick off Stampede with the annual Team YYC Stampede Barbecue compliments of The Calgary Airport Authority and Delta Hotel. Live music, 50/50 tickets and a prize wheel will ensure a boot scootin’ good time. Enjoy the tunes of Megan Dawson. All proceeds go to Children’s Miracle Network. Bring your Airport ID!

July 5, 10:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Departures level outside the Delta Hotel

ASP Stampede Breakfast

No stampede is complete without flapjacks! Join the team at ASP for a true Stampede tradition. Come one – come all!

July 9, 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Airport Corporate Center Lower Bowl (north)

Culture Crew Stampede Barbecue

A big yeehaw for more free food! Come out and enjoy the annual YYC Crew Stampede Breakfast. The Lions Club is back with some delicious food including pancakes, sausages, eggs, bacon and hash browns all brought to you by the Culture Crew. We will also have a photo booth set up, so be sure to come in your best Western duds! Bring your RAIC.

July 10, 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. ACC Lower Bowl (between Stores and the Carpenter Shop)

Kiddy Corral

Bring your littlest cowfolk out to enjoy a complimentary kid’s carnival complete with huggable farm animals, face painting, colouring, cotton candy and popcorn.

July 11, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Departures level between Doors 11 & 12

Chili's barbecue

Chili’s is excited to host their first ever Stampede barbecue here at YYC with all proceeds raised being donated to the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Come for delicious fajitas (a veg option available), chips, salsa and pop – for $10 (cash only) in support of the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Live entertainment also included!

July 12, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. ACC Lower Bowl (north)

Stampede Promo Committee with Music from SUDS - Larry and Gary

SUDS is sure to get our guests into the western spirit by performing old time country favourites while Stampede Promo Committee volunteers greet visitors with a photo-op and lassoing opportunity.

July 3 – July 10 from noon to 10 p.m. at International Arrivals

Baggage Carousel Music

Keep your eyes peeled to see some of your favourite YYC Music Program artists up on the big baggage stage. Performances happening throughout Stampede on carousels 3 & 9.

Western critters aka Pre-Board Pals

We can’t wait for this cuteness overload! YYC’s Pre-Board Pals are gearing up to wear their (mini) cowboy hats while they distribute free Stampede admission passes to YYC guests. The pups will be onsite providing their regular service of greeting and comforting guests and Team YYC.

Dress western

YYC Crew are invited to "dress western" from July 4 to July 14. Dress for the day by wearing denim clothing, cowboy hats, cowboy boots, or other similar types of western gear. All other dress code guidelines still apply. For example, running shoes, flip flops, and shorts are still considered inappropriate for the business environment.
