We’re looking for White Hat stories!
Every year YYC recognizes our famous White Hat volunteers with a special recognition party. This year, the theme of our event is "Once upon a time" and we're hoping to collect stories from Crew, Team YYC and our guests on all the ways a White Hatter has helped you at the airport. Since 1991, the White Hat Volunteers have greeted travelers from around the world providing our guests with an elevated airport experience.
We would love to hear a story from you on how you were warmed by a White Hat volunteer here at YYC Calgary International Airport.
"We hear so many stories and kudos about our White Hatters through email, phone calls, face-to-face and letters," says Kim Yates, White Hat Coordinator. "We want to share these amazing stories with our White Hatters so they know how much they mean to us and to our guests."
Our volunteers can be found almost anywhere in the airport, dressed in their iconic white cowboy hats and red vests, ready to lend a helping hand, answer your questions, or help welcome your guests to Calgary. The White Hat volunteers perform a wide variety of services for our passengers.
If you have guests arriving to Calgary and wish to have them welcomed with a White Hat Ceremony or Meet & Assist, please visit YYC.com and fill out a request form.
If you would like to share a story, please email us at whitehatteam@yyc.com.
