CASW day two area of focus - There’s nothing plane about Airside safety
The Tuesday topic for Canadian Airports Safety (CASW) was all about safety on Airside. Aircraft operators, employees and the guests rely on airfield workers to follow safe practices to enable the day-to-day operations at YYC.
During Tuesday's CASW event, the Authority’s Safety Crew in collaboration with Air Canada and Air Terminal Services (ATS), Airside employees will have the opportunity to learn more about safety on the airfield through a vehicle obstacle course challenge and equipment show and shine.
Canadian Airports Council has highlighted key information on regulations and tips for airport employees driving on the airfield in today’s feature presentation Topics include everything from runway awareness, aircraft right of way, and winter operations tips.
Remember, if you’re driving on the airfield, a key rule for driving safely is: Be Aware, Be Present and Be Safe.
