Passenger Boarding Bridge Online Course

Learn how to safely and confidently operate the passenger boarding bridges at the Calgary International Airport (YYC). This course will take about 1.5 hours to complete and has a final quiz at the end. Passing the online course is part one of getting certified to operate the bridges. You are also required to complete hands-on training and be certified by an airline trainer before bridge access is added to your RAIC card. This certification is valid for 3 years unless you will be training others to operate the bridge. PBB Ground Equipment Course

Ground Operations Essentials

This online course aims to ensure you know the procedures for handling YYC's ground equipment safely and respectfully, in order to reduce equipment damages and departure delays.

The course will take 20-30 minutes to complete and has a final quiz at the end. Completion is required for all airline ground crew who operate the following equipment:

  • Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) equipment that supports most gates.
  • Ground Power Units (GPUs) that are integrated into most passenger boarding bridges.
  • Material lifts located in the International Terminal Building, used to move gate-checked items, strollers and wheelchairs, between levels.
