Humboldt Fundraiser BBQ raised $5,000!

On Monday April 30 more than 450 people braved some cool weather to support victims and families of those who lost their lives or were injured in the tragic Humboldt Broncos bus collision.
Together, the Calgary International Airport community put on a fundraiser BBQ that raised $5,000. Support for the event came from across the entire airport community— silent auction and prize draw donations from our retail community; food provided by Chili’s and HMSHost; tables and chairs set up by the Airport Authority and space provided by the Delta In-terminal Hotel.
Volunteers from West Jet, the White Hat Volunteers, The Calgary Airport Authority, Delaware North, Delta Calgary Airport, Chili’s, and HMSHost all gave their time to enthusiastically man the prize wheel, sell BBQ tickets, set-up tables and serve up grub! What an incredible display of support from our Airport community in the wake of a terrible tragedy.
