YYC Express launches just in time for the holidays

Summary: Starting Dec. 1, 2021 at Pre-Board Screening D

We are piloting a new virtual queueing program, YYC Express, at Pre-Board Screening D to start. As of today, guests can start booking their spot in line for flights on Dec. 1 onwards.

What is it?

YYC Express is a data-informed virtual queuing service that empowers guests to reserve a time to go through the security queue using a dedicated lane entrance. The virtual queue helps distribute guest demand throughout the day and provides a positive experience for those who use it by avoiding the longer General Screening queue.

How does it work?

Guests can reserve their time via their phone (or any internet connected device) at yyc.whyline.com. Once their appointment is confirmed an email with a QR code is sent.  On the day of flight guests arrive at the front of the YYC Express designated queue to present their QR code.

How do guests find out about the service?

Signage throughout the airport will feature QR codes inviting passengers to scan a code and book their time to use the YYC Express. In addition to on-site touchpoints, content on YYC.com and social channels will prompt individuals to learn more about this service.

Why are we doing it?

The purpose of the program is to deliver a remarkable guest experience and prioritize technology and data and analytics capability to drive efficiency.

Where can I find more information?

Program information is now live on our website here. This landing page will be updated as the pilot program is optimized over the month of December.

We encourage all Team YYC to share this program with friends and family who are travelling this December. The more guests we have using it, the more data points will be collected to assess and optimize the service. Send the link of the landing page on or share the posts on social media.
