Dust-busting the parkades June 28 to Aug. 10

Summary: We’ll be closing one to two levels of P1 and P2 at a time for cleaning.

It’s that time again for our annual summer parkade cleaning. We paused any aesthetic parkade cleaning in 2020. Now that the dust has settled, we need to remove debris and gavel build-up.

We’ll be closing one to two levels in each parkade at a given time to prevent new parkers from entering. Exits will remain open. We’re working around the August long weekend to reduce the impact as much as possible. We’ll also be keeping at least one level of accessible parking in both parkades throughout the process.

This year, we’ll be saving water as we won’t be pressure washing. We’ll be using clean water and scrubbing machines to wash the ground on all levels.

If there are vehicles still parked in the level we’re cleaning, the scrubbing machine can work around them if necessary. However, cleaning is more effective if we can get to all the nooks and crannies.
