Travelex ceases operations across North America

Travelex, our foreign currency exchange service provider, advised the Calgary Airport Authority that it ceased operations at all its North American airports. All foreign exchange kiosks and ATMs are closed effective immediately.

This was not just a YYC decision, but one Travelex took in Canada and the U.S. due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ideally, our guests get their currency exchanged before they come to the airport. If you’re asked by a guest where they can get their currency exchanged, let them know guests can use financial institutions or alternate foreign exchange services offsite either in person or in an online capacity for pick up at your destination/near vicinity if that service is offered. Currently, there is no foreign currency exchange service available at YYC.
