St. Patrick’s Day: We’re Lucky to Have You
It’s a day when millions of Canadians and people worldwide celebrate Ireland’s patron saint and Irish culture.
Walk into the Ship & Anchor, Jamesons or the Kilkenny Irish Pub on any given day and you’ll likely find Guinness advertised on the walls and kilt-wearing staff.
Walk into YYC Calgary International Airport on St. Patrick’s Day and you’ll bump into a spirited bunch of White Hat Volunteers handing out shamrock stickers, YYC LINK drivers dressed with leprechaun hats and oversized green bowties and InfoCentre Ambassadors inviting guests to engage in a wee bit of fun. A selection of green boas, beads, glasses and hats were displayed at the four InfoCentre locations for everyone to see and don for photos.
Pictures were taken. Moments were made. History was celebrated. Beers were drank (after work!)
