Retail Refresh: Springtime Brings Fresh Renovations to YYC

Summary: Springtime sprucing up is in the air. Hudson News has undergone exciting changes in several concourses while La Prep, is open once again in Concourse A.

What You Need to Know

As part of YYC’s overall plan to improve the guest experience, we have been busy updating eating and shopping options in both our domestic and international terminals - striking a balance between known brands with local flavors and favourites. That’s why we are proud to announce exciting updates to several Hudson News locations in addition to a locally inspired Bearspaw Café in Concourse E. What’s more, La Prep has also received a recent facelift in Concourse A.

Hudson News reopens two locations later this month in Concourse A after exciting renovations and an expansion. Stock up on travel essentials as well as healthy, pre-packaged food at the new Hudson News directly across from Chili’s and the recently expanded Hudson News across from security.

An additional Hudson News is also now operating in Concourse C after a relocation and renovation. Look out for it now at Gates 70-79.

Finally, Bearspaw Café is now open for business at Hudson News in Concourse E, providing busy guests with a one-stop-shop where they can grab all the reading material and accessories they need in addition to a wide range of breakfast sandwiches, burgers, sandwiches, savory finger foods, and more to fuel their next adventure.

La Prep, has reopened in Concourse A after recent renovations. Serving upscale sandwiches, salads, baked goods and specialty coffees, guests now have even more ways to enjoy a high-quality meal or snack before departure. La Prep can also cater any event and doesn’t require much lead time to prepare. Stop by La Prep when you desire healthy and quick food in a fresh, new environment.

YYC continues to exercise an abundance of caution in responding to the current COVID-19 global pandemic situation. Our priority is the health and safety of our Crew, Team and Guests. Our Emergency Response Services (ERS) team is leading YYC’s pandemic plan and are actively working with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and Alberta Health Services (AHS) and other agencies to ensure any additional measures required are implemented. Currently, all enhanced measures required have been successfully implemented.
