Celebrate National Aviation Day at The Hangar Flight Museum
Summary: Feb. 23 is significant to the history of Canadian flight. It was the day the first powered flight took off in 1909. Fun Fact: it was the Silver Dart!
To celebrate National Aviation Day on Sunday, Feb. 23, The Calgary Airport Authority has partnered with The Hangar Flight Museum to bring you a fun-filled family day from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to inspire dreams of flight.
- Free guided tours between 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. every 30 minutes on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- Hands-on activities for kids, including a photo booth and building Wright Bats and Hurricane Gliders.
- Two open aircraft for public viewing, including the Bell Helicopter and Avro Anson.
Who doesn’t love a buy one, get one deal? Purchase one ticket at regular price to receive a free second admission of equal or lesser value. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
