#WhiteHatWednesday: Josef
Each #WhiteHatWednesday, we will highlight one of the awesome members of Team YYC. This week, read on to learn more about Josef, White Hat Volunteer Co-op Student.
Last January, Josef, a U of A student, started his one-year work term in the White Hat volunteer office and his personal goal was to meet every volunteer in his first two weeks. He achieved his goal and then spent the rest of his year learning over 500 of their names and a personal fact about each one.
Due to graduate in late 2020 with a degree in Human Geography, Josef says he didn’t expect how much of an impact the White Hat volunteers would make on his life. “I only had a limited amount of time to make relationships and they welcomed me like family. They are so genuine and happy and really want to be at the airport contributing to our western hospitality.”
Although it was bittersweet to say good bye and head back to Edmonton, Josef will be keeping himself busy with school, cooking and hiking.
