Fast Facts – The SOURCE

Summary: Launched in the Fall of 2016, the SOURCE is a SharePoint tool that allows us to easily create, manage, and share documents both internally and externally.
The SOURCE allows us to communicate operational updates and processes more effectively. The site is a valuable resource that all YYC Crew and Team YYC can access at any time. Whether you are new to a team, are an experienced employee, interested in learning more about another department, or looking for information, The SOURCE is your single destination for up-to-date information on airport operations.
Documents include:
- Operations Plans – the meat and potatoes that can encapsulate all documents below
- Work Instructions – a specific position’s responsibilities for a certain task
- User Guides – the ‘how to’ of a technical tool
- Airport maps and drawings – a visual of the facility inside and out
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) – a process involving multiple stakeholders and their responsibilities
- Quick Reference Guides – as the name suggests, info at a glance
Keep an eye on The Hub for more information on training sessions in the new year, and in the meantime feel free to browse The SOURCE at https://connect.yyc.com/sites/operations/source and log in using the ‘Sign in with Windows Credentials’ button. A link to The SOURCE is also available on The Hub under Applications.
Did you know? The SOURCE is managed by our Documentation and Training Team! This includes annual reviews, document creation, branding, and access control to the site. If you have any questions or are looking for more information, you can contact the team at thesource@yyc.com.
