There’s no place like Rome: WestJet announces nonstop Dreamliner service
Summary: WestJet will now operate its Dreamliner service between Rome and Calgary three-times weekly in peak season starting May 2, 2020.
WestJet’s Dreamliner Hub is growing with direct service from Calgary to Rome starting next May. The airline made the announcement this morning. The increase in their Dreamliner service continues to position us with a competitive advantage over other Canadian airports: We are the home of WestJet.
“Our guests now have the option to avoid a long day of travel including connections, with WestJet’s new non-stop flight from Calgary to Rome,” says Bob Sartor. “WestJet is our airport’s largest carrier and our strategic partner. We congratulate them on this new Dreamliner route to Italy.”
The new route to Rome highlights that we are landing our strategic plank in making it easy for WestJet to operate from here. The schedule allows for easy connections to and from Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, San Francisco and Los Angeles. The announcement is good news for the transatlantic Dreamliner service that launched here in February 2019.
