Each #WhiteHatWednesday, we will highlight one of the awesome members of Team YYC. This week, read on to learn more about Amal, Regional Manager, Quarantine Services, Public Health Agency of Canada.

Petite and passionate about her work, Amal, a 15 year veteran of the airport, manages public health risks arriving into Canada through the Quarantine Program.

With a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Education, this busy lady oversees four provinces and two territories for the Public Health Agency of Canada in the West. Most of her days are spent collaborating, networking, training and educating.

"My awesome team is motivated and passionate about enforcing a public health Act which mainly prevents the entry and spread of communicable diseases in Canada," says Amal.

In her down time she loves to travel and hike in the mountains with her family.
