Ring in Chinese New Year with Hainan Airlines

Airline partner, Hainan Airlines invites the airport community to celebrate Chinese New Year at YYC on February 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at International Arrivals.

Hainan will host activities such as a red carpet photo booth, a chopstick challenge and a high-end experience booth, where you can sample some of their business class amenities. The event will also feature performances of Chinese Kong Fu and the traditional Lion Dance. The Lion Dance is performed on big occasions for good luck, as it is thought to be an animal of fortune.

“Hainan is a valuable partner as they provide access to the largest and fastest growing air travel market in the world from YYC,” said Eddie Su, Air Service Development Specialist with the Calgary Airport Authority.

Next Tuesday, be sure to pop down and ring in the Year of the Pig — a symbol of generosity and wealth.
