RAIC Holders needed for Exercise Aurora

We need you! The Calgary Airport Authority will partner with Air Canada for Exercise Aurora on September 14. These exercises are a Transport Canada regulatory requirement and provide an opportunity for all agencies involved to test emergency procedures.

We are looking for volunteers to act as passengers and meeters/greeters on the day of the event.

Volunteers must be:

  • Valid RAIC holders
  • 18 years or older
  • Available from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 14

The exercise will take place rain or shine. Food and drinks will be provided to all volunteers. All volunteers will be required to fill out a waiver and registration form by Aug. 26. We ask that volunteers ensure they are available to take part in the entire duration of the exercise on September 14.

By participating in this exercise you are helping to ensure the safety and security of the airport.

A number of partners will participate in this exercise including Air Canada, Pro-Tec Fire Services, Calgary Fire Department (CFD), Alberta Health Services (EMS), Calgary Police Services (CPS), Calgary 911, ASP and NAV CANADA.

To sign up as a volunteer, or if you have any questions, please email emergency@yyc.com.
