YYC Welcomes Volunteers Back
Summary: Starting in April and over the coming months, White Hat Volunteers will return gradually, followed by Pre-Board Pals and musicians
We’re excited to announce that we’re bringing back volunteers. In April, White Hat Volunteers will start to return to the terminal following a two-year pause on the program due to COVID-19.
During the time away, we renewed the program that’s been serving our guests at YYC for 30 years to ensure it supports our airport’s goals, values, and operational reality. From the volunteer working group established in December 2021, we incorporated recommendations and feedback for each phase. You may see volunteers in new locations and in new uniforms. Changes to the program will also include enhanced tools and training to enable volunteers to continue playing an important role in delivering legendary hospitality guided by our North Star.
Over the coming months, volunteers will return in a phased approach, starting with White Hat Volunteers followed by Pre-Board Pals and musicians. When it comes to the logistics, placement and capacity to bring back volunteers, we will be strategic and intentional.
We expect that the full complement of volunteers will be back in action by the end of 2022.
Please join us in welcoming back this group. This signals a much-anticipated milestone.
