Adding domestic gate options to Concourse D June 30

Summary: Gates 84 – 97 will be hoarded off from Concourse E.

Work within YYC's Operation team has shifted very quickly from cost reduction to rebuilding the operation. We have pushed many aviation norms and found ways to create operational flexibility and re-imagined how we use our ITB. 

At the beginning of COVID, we did not require gates E 84-97. As of June 30, we are reopening gates 84 – 97 at the end of Concourse E (past the Jugo Juice) and re-using them for Concourse D domestic and international traffic. We installed a hoarding wall that maintains full separation between the US departing and Domestic or International arriving and departing guests.

In early fall, we will replace the hoarding with a permanent glass wall that can be opened and closed as needed. The wall will have the ability to allow for all types of departures and arrivals with appropriate separation.
