Alberta Health Services (AHS) implements new COVID-19 screening measures
Summary: Effective immediately, all travellers arriving from outside Canada must submit 14-day self-isolation plan to AHS before leaving YYC.
The Alberta government is implementing new measures at airports within the province to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Alberta Health Services (AHS) will be in-terminal and set up at International Arrivals to interview guests and provide touch-free temperature checks using an infrared camera.
Effective immediately, any traveller arriving from outside Canada is legally required to self-isolate for 14 days, no matter if they’re showing symptoms or not. They must also submit their self-isolation plan to AHS when exiting the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) space that includes details of travel to their isolation location and plans for essential food and medication.
We’re supporting Alberta Health and Alberta Health Services in their program to screen international arriving guests after they’ve been processed by CBSA and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).
