Paralympic Welcome and Popcorn Party!

Join the welcoming committee and enjoy a snack.

If meeting a Canadian hero or seeing an Olympic medal has ever been a dream of yours, be sure to mark March 19 on your calendar!

Next Monday, YYC will welcome 2018 PyeongChang Paralympic athletes home to Calgary. Join in the welcome from 5:15 – 6:15 p.m. at Departures area C where proud Canadians will be waving flags and excitedly welcoming home our Paralympic heroes.

Among the arriving athletes is Canada’s most decorated Winter Paralympian medalist, Brian McKeever. Along with him is Para Alpine skier Alana Ramsay, Nordic Skier Russel Kennedy, Para Alpine skier Jack Gordon Leitch, Para Alpine skier Kurt Oatway and Para Nordic skier Brittany Hudak.

Between 4-5 p.m., Team YYC is invited to mingle and snack on free popcorn at Bistro on the Bow, generously provided by its management! Those who are welcoming home the Paralympic athletes are invited to wear their favourite Canadian or Olympic!

Let’s get together and display our famous western hospitality. We look forward to proudly representing YYC by supporting our Paralympic team. See you then!
