YYC ranks among the top ten North American airports in J.D. Power's Airport Satisfaction Study.

We knew it, you knew it, but now the world knows it! YYC is among the top 10 highest-ranked North American airports by J.D. Power’s Airport Satisfaction Study. Plus—we are the highest-ranking of all Canadian airports beating out Vancouver and Montreal in the large airport category.

The 2023 North America Airport Satisfaction Study measures overall traveler satisfaction with mega, large and medium North American airports by examining six factors (in order of importance):

• terminal facilities;
• airport arrival/departure;
• baggage claim;
• security check;
• check-in/baggage check;
• and food, beverage and retail.

Large airports are defined as those with 10-32.9 million passengers per year and mega airports with 33 million or more passengers per year. Toronto Pearson was in the mega airport category, while Vancouver and Montreal were ranked in the large airport category.
