Keep an ear out! Local musicians now joining Team YYC

If you have noticed a sweet sound coming from the hammerhead in Concourse A, then you have been lucky enough to hear some of YYC’s very own regularly-scheduled musicians!

Over that last few weeks, a number of talented artists have been treating us to trial performances as we build our new music program.

This past summer, YYC Calgary International Airport collaborated with Calgary-based music organizations, Calgary Folk Fest and Calgary International Blues Festival to showcase the city’s diverse talent and festivals to a global audience.

Now, we are expanding our music program to feature daily scheduled performances by talented local musicians, welcoming guests with musical performances.

This exciting addition to YYC’s landscape will provide guests with a unique opportunity to discover the musical talent found right here in Calgary, while creating memorable airport experiences that reflect our city’s legendary hospitality.

You can look forward to hearing our musicians daily in Concourse A—additional locations to come. Be sure to check out a few of our regulars already playing in Concourse A: singer-songwriter, Ken Stead; one-man-band, Jiggity James; and violinist, Darcy Stamp.
