Roadway construction you should know about

As Team YYC aims to deliver remarkable guest experiences, it’s important that all staff are able to help our guests navigate YYC. Here is some helpful information on roadway maintenance that will impact access to certain areas in the coming days and weeks.

Arrivals Roadway repair – September 4-November 9

After more than 40 years, the Arrivals Roadway has started to show signs of deterioration, which is why YYC’s project teams are working on a restoration project.

Underway for three months now, the YYC Electrical and IT teams have completed a lot of prep work allowing the outdoor structural work to begin. On September 4, the complete excavation on the Arrivals roadway began, changing access to the following areas:

Arrivals Level access to the Delta Hotel closed; please direct guests to the Departures Level for hotel access.

The crosswalk at Door 9 closed; please direct guests to Door 7 for Short Term parking P1 elevators and the pet relief and smoking area access.

See attached drawing.

Stay tuned for a detailed update on how YYC’s many teams have collaborated to effectively manage this major undertaking.

Rental car ramp repairs - September 11-30

As we work hard maintaining and upgrading our facility, the ramps to the parkades will be undergoing repairs resulting in some changes to how guest access car rentals. This will be completed in two phases.

Phase 1 – September 11-20:  The south ramp will be closed.  Alamo, National and Enterprise guests will use the Yellow Lot entry to enter the parkade. There will be ample signage directing guests where to go. There is no impact to Avis, Budget, Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty guests.

Phase 2:  The north ramp will be closed.  Avis, Budget, Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty guests will use the Yellow Lot entry to enter the parkade. There will be ample signage directing guests where to go. There will be no impact to National, Alamo and Enterprise guests and they will be back to their original entry ramp.
