Team YYC / Monday, June 16, 2025 / Categories: What's Going On Our curb will start to look a little different soon We’re stepping up curbside safety and security with our latest project, starting today, crews will install anti-ramming bollards in front of all public-facing doors on the Arrivals and Departures levels. What is a bollard you might ask? They’re those waist-height columns that you find in front of many externally facing doors. The work will be completed in phases, moving from door to door throughout the year and continuing into future years, concluding in 2028. Why is this project important? It improves safety and security on the curb and, by extension, the terminal building itself. What to expect Construction begins today and runs through the fall, so expect the odd curbside detour as work continues over the next few months. While work is underway, there will be temporary changes to curbside access and traffic flow; signage will be in place to help guests and staff navigate potential disruptions and ensure smooth flow through the terminal and on our roadways. Supporting our guests To help minimize disruption and support a positive guest experience during construction, we’re: Encouraging the use of the Cell Phone Lot for those waiting to pick up passengers. Reminding guests they can enjoy 20 minutes of free parking in our P1 and P2 short-term lots for quick drop-offs or pick-ups. Thank you to all the teams that have been working with us behind the scenes to help make this project a success! Print 14 Please login or register to post comments.
